A gravatar is a small picture that will show up next to your blog posts based on your email address, if the blog is Gravatar aware. Our Bits, Bytes & Bots site is Gravatar aware, as are many other blogs out there that you may comment on. As you increase your blogging, folks will recognize you as someone to trust and your Gravatar will help them remember.

To get a Gravatar, visit Gravatar.com. You can then upload a picture from your computer or choose some web art work (I suggest a picture). You can login to the site using your Wordpress username or email and password.

Just found this website, http://getlisted.org, that shows you how your information shows up on Yahoo, Google, and Best of the Web and MSN, and it lets you edit your listing from the site. I recommend everyone enter your local listing information, such as your phone number and email address, so your customers can find you easier while doing a search.
